VASS PLC Programmer – Contract – Spain – 12-24 months – €35 per hour

Our Customer based in Europe is actively hiring experienced PLC Programmers with strong working knowledge of Siemens S5 and S7 and previous VASS Standards experience. As a leading International turnkey solutions provider they are looking for proactive and flexible engineers with solid VASS experience to support, installation and commissioning activities to an automotive project based in Spain.

As a PLC Programmer you will be responsible for providing PLC and HMI software development, commissioning and support activities to a leading automotive manufacturing site. Predominately using Siemens S5, S7 and also e-plan design software you will work in a cross functional team developing the migration from Siemens S5 to Siemens S7 on site, as well as debugging equipment to achieve uptime and machine cycle times.

Responsibilities of a PLC Programmer include;

> Designing and developing PLC & HMI Software for new control systems
> Analysing data and presenting findings in written reports
> Working collaboratively with electrical engineers, process engineers and other staff
> Liaising with customers, suppliers and contractors
> Assisting in the development of new business proposals

To be considered for this role, you will require a minimum of 5 years working experience of development and commissioning of PLC and HMI Software and a relevant degree equivalent to a US Bachelors. Previous experience of working such automotive projects with VASS standards is highly beneficial, as is experience of using E-plan design software.

At least a basic working knowledge of Spanish is required, as is being able to work in Spain on a long term project. Visa sponsorship is not available.
