Toolmaker Ireland Contract – €20-25 per hour

Our client is actively looking for a contract toolmaker for site-based activities in North West Ireland. This long-term contract opportunity offers a minimum 1 year contract with an opportunity for permanent employment.

As a toolmaker will be responsible for machine, fit and assemble component parts and precision tooling with a quality and timely focus in order to build special-purpose machinery, robotic work cells and factory automation projects. This client facing role requires you to act as an ambassador for our client at the customer’s site, providing a quick and efficient installation of the equipment.

Responsibilities of a Toolmaker include but are not limited to;

>Preview projects at customer site to gain knowledge for planning purposes (i.e. design, install, subcontractors).
>Determine special tools required for assembly.
>Attend design reviews to critique mechanical design for functionality and robustness.
>Review drawing packages at the detail level for fit, function and manufacturability.
>Understand the manufacture of details, review tolerances on prints, understand GD&T and where to apply.
>Execution of prototypes to ensure fit, function, and manufacturability.
>Record project status for weekly team meetings.
>Involved in bench assembly, completing any pre-hosing and involving electrical to pre-wire.
>Advise designers of any design issues and collaborate with the team to resolve. Escalate unresolved issued as required.
>Reassemble equipment to the point of buy-off at customer’s site. Provide customer training as required.

This contract opportunity as a Toolmaker is based in the North West area of Ireland and offers a long-term contract working for a global automation company. Rates are negotiable depending on relevant experience.
