Siemens PLC Programmer – Contract – Canada/Mexico – 6 months – $35-40 + flight, hotel, car rental and per diem

Our Customer based in Canada is actively hiring experienced PLC Programmers with strong working knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal V15 software. As a leading International turnkey solutions provider they are looking for proactive and flexible engineers with a solid Automotive experience to support, installation and commissioning activities to an automotive project based initially at their site in Canada then onto Mexico for the install.

As a PLC Programmer you will be responsible for providing PLC and HMI software development, commissioning and support activities to a leading automotive manufacturing site. Predominately using SIemen Tia Portal V15, you will work in a cross functional team developing and debugging equipment to achieve uptime and machine cycle times.

Responsibilities of a PLC Programmer include;

> Designing and developing PLC & HMI Software for new control systems
> Analysing data and presenting findings in written reports
> Working collaboratively with electrical engineers, process engineers and other staff
> Liaising with customers, suppliers and contractors
> Assisting in the development of new business proposals

To be considered for the role of PLC Programmer you will require a minimum of 5 years working experience of development and commissioning of PLC and HMI Software and a relevant degree equivalent to a US Bachelors. Previous experience of working such automotive projects with GM is highly beneficial.

The role of PLC Programmer offers a competitive hourly rate, negotiable depending on previous relevant experience, as well as a generous expenses package. Visa Sponsorship for this position is not available, and the client is looking for local resource to fill these position. so, only Canadian or Mexicans need apply. Succesful mexican canddiates will need to obtain a work permit for the Canadian phase of the project.
