Process Control Systems Engineers (Engineer/Senior)

Location: North Carolina.

Direct Hire/Permanent.

Off the back of many years of success, our client is continually going through a period of growth and are now seeking a number of process control systems engineers to join the business on a direct hire basis. They are a business who pride themselves on their core values, their company culture, and their collaborative/cooperative working-style and are now seeking individuals who share their values and will add value to their project engineering teams. Teams who are increasingly working on more advancing technologies including MES applications and plant-level software, IIoT and Cyber.

As a Process Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for playing a key role within a customer project. This will be from a development, delivery and commissioning perspective and will heavily-feature Emerson DeltaV platforms (amongst other Emerson platforms). You will be expected to perform configurations and testing of control modules and batch control, FAT’s, SAT’s, developing documentation for continuous and batch applications, start-up/commissioning, configuring wireless networks and configuring DeltaV historian to other 3rd party software.

As a Senior Process Control Systems Engineer, the above will still stand, however you will be expected to oversee a project on a long-term basis, lead 2-3 engineers in terms of assigning tasks and being a technical point of contact, as well as handling some of the more complex DeltaV configurations.

Ideally, this position would suit someone from a Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences background, however other process industries will be welcome if the DeltaV skill set is there.

About you:

* Ideally educated to degree level in an engineering discipline.
* A proven background within a process industry working with complex control strategies.
* It is essential that you have Emerson DeltaV experience.

Other information:

* Training and learning & development opportunities are available to staff including software training, updates, and latest versions and patches. The client has strong success stories of employees who have followed a long-term career path from this position to director-level.
* Travel is expected to be less than 25%. Most employees are working from home offices at present.
* Interview process: 3-4 stages (inclusive of aptitude test).
