PLC Programmer (SICAR Standard) – Contract – Russelsheim, Germany – 3-4 Months – Competitive Hourly Rate

Our customer is actively hiring an experienced PLC Programmer to support activities on their project based in Opel Russelsheim. To be considered, you must have strong knowledge of Step 7 / TIA Portal PLC software and will have previously worked with SICAR Standards. As a leading International turnkey solutions provider, they are looking for a proactive and autonomous engineer with solid knowledge of SICAR standards to assist with their tasks of line modifications, which will include offline programming, commissioning and possible production support.

As a PLC Programmer you will be responsible for providing PLC and HMI software development, commissioning and support activities to a leading automotive manufacturing site in Germany. Predominately using Siemens PLC, you will work in a cross functional team, modifying sequences of 2 symmetrical stations.

Responsibilities of a PLC Programmer include;

> Modifying & developing PLC & HMI Software for control systems
> Analysing data and presenting findings in written reports
> Working collaboratively with Robot Programmers, electrical engineers, process engineers and other staff
> Liaising with customers, suppliers and contractors

To be considered for the role of PLC Programmer you will require a minimum of 5 years working experience of development and commissioning of PLC and HMI Software and a relevant Engineering degree. Previous experience of working such automotive projects with SICAR Standards is essential.

The role of PLC Programmer offers a competitive hourly rate, negotiable depending on previous relevant experience. Visa Sponsorship for this position is not available.
