PLC Programmer – Contract – Ohio, USA – $50-60 + expenses

Our Customer based in the USA are actively hiring experienced PLC Programmers with strong working knowledge of Siemens Step 7 V5.5 and previous automotive project experience.

As a leading International turnkey solutions provider they are looking for proactive and flexible engineers with a solid background working in an automotive environment to support, installation and commissioning activities to an automotive project based in Ohio, USA.

As a PLC Programmer you will be responsible for providing PLC and HMI software development, commissioning and support activities to a leading automotive manufacturing site. Predominately using Siemens Step 7 software, you will work in a cross functional team developing and debugging equipment to achieve uptime and machine cycle times.

Responsibilities of a PLC Programmer include;
> Designing and developing PLC & HMI Software for new control systems
> Analysing data and presenting findings in written reports
> Working collaboratively with electrical engineers, process engineers and other staff
> Liaising with customers, suppliers and contractors
> Assisting in the development of new business proposals

To be considered for the role of PLC Programmer you will require a minimum of 5 years working experience of development and commissioning of PLC and HMI Software and a relevant degree equivalent to a US Bachelors.

Previous experience of working such automotive projects with Siemens Step 7 is essential, as is having your own version of this software (V5.5).

The role of PLC Programmer offers a competitive hourly rate + expenses package, negotiable depending on previous relevant experience.
