MES Engineer

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina.

Off the back of many years of success, our client is continually going through a period of growth and are now seeking a number of engineers and specialists to join the business on a direct hire basis. Teams who are increasingly working on more advancing technologies including MES applications and plant-level software, IIoT and Cyber.

As an MES Engineer, you will be responsible for playing a key role within a customer project. This will include design, development, optimisation, and overall support of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for a life sciences customer, located close to Raleigh, NC. The MES Engineer will also work in the development, delivery, and commissioning of technologically advanced process control systems and solutions for industrial customers. The primary data integration solutions you will work with are Emerson’s Syncade MES, Bio-G scheduling platforms, and Plantweb Optics/Analytics digital transformation solutions.

Ideally, this position would suit someone from a Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences background, however other process industries will be welcome if the MES skill set is there.

About you:

* Ideally educated to degree level in a computer engineering, engineering or an IT discipline.
* A proven background within process control systems and MES integration.
* Emerson Syncade is your bread & butter.

* Training and learning & development opportunities are available to staff including software training, updates, and latest versions and patches. The client has strong success stories of employees who have followed a long-term career path from this position to director-level.
* Travel is expected to be minimal, you will be initially based on-site at the customer’s facility close to Raleigh, North Carolina.
* Interview process: 3-4 stages (inclusive of aptitude test).
