MANUFACTURING TEST ENGINEER – BATTERY SYSTEMS

Location: South Carolina, USA
Job Type: Contract (6+ Months) – Corp to Corp or W-2

Talos are currently supporting one of the USA’s leading innovators of Electrified Vehicles in their search for a Manufacturing Test Engineer for their facility in South Carolina.

This role will lead the development of new manufacturing automation systems (Battery Technology) and internal processes.

What will the job include?

* Collaborate with various teams to design, build, validate and implement new test processes & equipment to enable the company to grow battery production capacity.
* Lead the development of complex battery module and pack testing equipment with external partners, whilst being responsible for the equipment from ideation to launch.
* Internally develop and write test automation scripts and analysis tools with industry standard tools and software.
* Support characterization of new battery pack designs to define manufacturing functional and electrical test tolerance bounds.
* Create effective documentation for test equipment and processes to aid in knowledge transfer and education within the larger organization.
* Establish manufacturing data architecture for test applications and specify requirements for data systems.

What we need form you?

* Degree qualified in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or similar.
* Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions in a manufacturing test engineering, development test engineering, or similar technical role.
* Hands-on experience developing test systems for electro-mechanical assemblies.
* Extensive experience with test engineering principles and tools- data acquisition, test circuits, test equipment.
* Proven experience managing projects and external vendors working to deliver manufacturing test equipment.
* Hands-on experience in Measurement Systems Analysis and Qualification (Gage R&R, Gage Capability, etc.).
* Demonstrated experience methodically troubleshooting electrical assemblies and software automation scripts.
* Demonstrated experience using data analysis to support equipment and/or process design decisions.

The contract will negotiated based on an attractive all-inclusive hourly rate and does not include expenses.
