Robot Programmer – Contract – Oakland County, MI – 6-12 Months

We are actively recruiting Robot Programmers with an automotive background for our client’s projects starting in January 2023. This client, an international leader in world-class automation equipment is looking to hire 4-5 Robot Programmers with GM, Ford or Rivian experience to support their projects throughout next year.

As a Robot Programmer you will have the opportunity programme automated equipment for multiple applications within the automotive industry. You will ensure equipment is designed and programmed to GM, Ford or Rivian standards.

Responsibilities of a Robot Programmer include;
> Developing new programming applications to meet cycle times,
> Collaborating with electrical engineers, PLC engineer, process engineers and other staff,
> Customer focused, liaising with clients, suppliers, as well as contract engineers,
> Share technical knowledge and experience to provide optimal solution,
> Commissioning Robot OLP’s and providing feedback to Simulation Engineers where required,
> Act as an ambassador for the company at all times.

To be considered for this contract opportunity as a Robot Programmer you will a minimum 2 years’ experience of Robot Programming with standards used by Ford, General Motors or Rivian. Ideally you will have experience with Fanuc, ABB or KUKA robots with knowledge of Roboguide, RobotStudio or SimPro. A Batchelors degree in Mechatronics Engineering or similar is preferred however candidates without and considerable experience will be considered.

This is a 6-12 month contract opportunity as a Robot Programmer offering a competitive rate per hour, overtime multipliers and per diem whilst working in the field. You will need to be US Citizen or hold a valid visa to work in the United States. No Visa sponsorship is offered in this position.
