Controls Engineer- – Contract – Indiana – 6-12 months

Our Customer based in Oregon is actively hiring experienced PLC Programmers with strong working knowledge of Beckhoff or Siemens STL and previous Automtive experience. As a leading International turnkey solutions provider they are looking for proactive and flexible engineers with a solid PLC Programming experience to support, installation and commissioning activities to an automotive project based Idiana.

As a PLC Programmer you will be responsible for providing PLC and HMI software development, commissioning and support activities to a leading automotive manufacturing site. Predominately using S9emens Structure Text and/ or Beckhoff/ Rexroth you will work in a cross functional team developing and debugging equipment to achieve uptime and machine cycle times.

Responsibilities of a PLC Programmer include;

* 3+ years programming PLCs using IEC 61131-3 languages
* 1+ year experience using structured text
* Experience with state machines and/or sequential function charts
* 3+ years’ experience in industrial automation (not oil/gas)
* Experience programming conveyance systems, servo motion, gantries, HMIs
* Experience with Bosch or Beckhoff PLCs

* Siemens is probably ok if you have 1-2 years of recent structured text experience on the Siemens platform

To be considered for the role of PLC Programmer you will require a minimum of 6 years working experience of development and commissioning of PLC and HMI Software and a relevant degree equivalent to a US Bachelors. Previous experience of working such automotive projects with Siemens/ Beckhoff is highly beneficial.

The role of PLC Programmer offers a competitive hourly rate, negotiable depending on previous relevant experience. Visa Sponsorship for this position is not available.
