Controls Engineer (GM) – 6-12 Months Contract – Michigan, USA – $40/hr (+1.3 / +1.6 / 30 Days Hotel)

Talos’ USA client is actively recruiting for experienced Controls Engineers with strong working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC and previous GM GCCS2 Standard experience. As a leading International turnkey solutions provider, they are looking for proactive and flexible engineers with a solid GM GCCS2 Standard experience to support, installation and commissioning activities to an automotive project based Michigan, USA.

As a Controls Engineer you will be responsible for providing PLC and HMI software development, commissioning and support activities to a leading automotive manufacturing site. Predominately using Allen Bradley PLC Programming, you will work in a cross functional team developing and debugging equipment to achieve uptime and machine cycle times.

Responsibilities of a Controls Engineer include:

* Designing and developing PLC & HMI Software for new control systems
* Analysing data and presenting findings in written reports
* Working collaboratively with electrical engineers, process engineers and other staff
* Liaising with customers, suppliers and contractors
* Assisting in the development of new business proposals

To be considered for the role of PLC Programmer you will require a minimum of 4 years working experience of development and commissioning of PLC and HMI Software. The GM GCCS2 certificate is essential.

The role of PLC Programmer offers a competitive hourly rate, negotiable depending on previous relevant experience.
