Controls Engineer

Location: Belgium

Salary: €4,000 – 4,500 per month + Benefits

With the economic climate as it is, automation does not stop and the industry has to keep driving forward. Off the back of continued business success and looking to backfill the position of a recent leaver, our client is seeking a controls engineer to join the team and fill some big shoes that were left behind. Being a global business, they are ideally placed to provide security and continued employment during a time of uncertainty.

As a controls engineer, you will be responsible for providing full-lifecycle design and development of control systems for manufacturing and process equipment for a number of clients across the country. This will require you to have a solid knowledge of Siemens/Rockwell platforms for PLC/HMI’s, I/O, as well as having a demonstrable background interfacing with industrial communication networks (Profinet, Profibus etc). You will also be expected to support on build phases, installation, and commissioning, with a small amount of travel involved.

Ideally, you will be currently working within a similar environment, process automation, manufacturing machinery or special purpose machines as a full-lifecycle controls engineer, preferably someone who can bring some additional skills to the table with future technologies.

About you:

* Ideally degree educated within a technical engineering discipline.
* Fluent in Dutch is a must and non-negotiable, English is desirable.

Skills / Knowledge:

* 4 years’ minimum experience working within a control systems development environment.
* Proven knowledge and background of Siemens / Rockwell platforms. S7 / TIA Portal.
* Exposure to VB .Net technologies, SQL databases or similar will really set you profile apart.
* Industrial communication (Profinet, Profibus, or similar).


* Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
* 2 stage interview process.
* Start date: as soon as possible.
