AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN:IN (m/f/d)

Full time – Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany (with remote working possibilities across Germany)

Company Overview:

My client is a growing software and Automation company who uniquely combines competence in engineering and IT with practical project management experience. Their core competencies lie in agile software development, IT project management and engineering in automation technology, especially in virtual commissioning (VIBN). These business areas support each other and create synergies for their customers. Based in West Germany, near Cologne their client base consists of Automotive and Automation companies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* You develop control software and standard building blocks
* You create digital twins & carry out the virtual commissioning (VIBN)
* In addition, you are responsible for commissioning at home and abroad
* Your area of responsibility will also include briefing and accompanying the acceptance test

Requirements:

* Completed training, attending a technical school or studying electrical or automation

engineering (will ideally be degree qualified)

* Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, Step7 (not essential) or Beckhoff TwinCat (not essential)

and are motivated to develop themselves further

* Knowledge/understanding of robotics – e.g. KUKA, ABB, Fanuc (not required to program)

and a good mechanical understanding

* Characterized by a customer and service-oriented way of working
* Willingness to travel, mainly across Germany and possibly parts of the EU when required
* Able to communicate in English
* Have a careful and structured way of working
* TMO knowledge (Automotive standard) – (not essential)
* Experience in Automotive projects
