ADVANCED PROCESSOR – PERMANENT – MICHIGAN, USA

We’re seeking an Advance Processor who is focused on world class technology, who has the expertise to define and establish all process information, relative to industrial automation content, timing, quality, technology, and customer satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities

* Review and study customer specifications, engineering schematics and any additional supplied data in order to develop a cost-effective industrial automation solution to meet our customers’ needs
* Develop process or verify customer provided process with provided product information, station cycle times, utilization matrix and field checks
* Review proposal concept with the project team to insure we are providing our customer with effective solutions
* Break down proposal content and finalize system layout
* Line-up estimating, purchasing, planning, engineering, project management and documentation teams with customer specifications, content and layouts
* Create customer presentations with product flow charts, system layouts, station cycle times, timelines and assumptions
* Participate in customer tech reviews, internal line-up meetings and follow up with engineering to capture lessons learned
* Ensure the general directions, plans, specifications of proposal or customer requirements are maintained within the proposal phase of the project
* Review the current technology in place relative to products currently manufactured and ensure it’s state of the art
* Benchmark and recommend new technology and equipment for use within the corporation.

Qualifications and Skills

* Bachelor of Applied Science or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent from a recognized University is preferred or an Associate Degree/Engineering Diploma from a recognized Community College or equivalent experience
* Minimum of five (5) years of direct experience designing or processing automation systems and related tooling for the automotive, aerospace, construction and defence sectors
* Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication abilities
* Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
* Must be willing to work extended hours, when necessary, as project and customer demands dictate
* Ability to work with others, including peers and personnel in other departments
