1.43m robots produced by top 10 robotics companies

RoboticsandAutomationNews.com has compiled a list of the top robotics companies, based on the number of each company’s robots installed across the globe.

RoboticsandAutomationNews.com has stressed this is an incomplete list, due to a lack of credible and/or up-to-date figures.

Available figures place Fanuc in the lead, with 400,000 robots worldwide.

Jeff Burnstein, President of A3 (Association for Advancing Automation), says: “The robotics industry is thriving today as more companies of all sizes are realizing the benefits of automation”.

Specifically within North America, in the first half of 2016, 14,583 robots valued at c. $817m were ordered, a 2% increase on the same period of 2015.
